FOLLOWING a £500,000 investment, Northern Ireland’s largest independently owned security company, Mercury Security Management, has today announced a major rebrand for the firm as they launch a new Facilities Management division which will see the creation of over 90 new jobs across the province.
Mercury which is headquartered in Lisburn, with offices in Dublin, Limerick and London, will now be known as Mercury Security & Facilities Management and, in addition to their existing range of integrated security solutions, will be providing Daily Contract Cleaning, Housekeeping Services, Pest Control, Mat Rental Services, Car Park Sweeping, Full Washroom Services and Industrial & Specialist Cleaning Services.
The announcement follows a period of sustained growth for Mercury, which in recent months has signed deals with Almac Group, Harvey Norman, Market Cross Shopping Centre in Kilkenny, Woodie’s DIY, as well as securing contracts with UK shopping centres Hammersmith Broadway and Fulham Broadway.
The firm has said that they are committed to offering a more efficient, integrated approach for new and existing clients, allowing for greater reductions in costs and a simplified, more accountable, transparent alternative to the traditional sub-contracted services offered by companies in this sector.
To support the new division Mercury Security & Facilities Management will be creating over 90 jobs in Northern Ireland over the coming months, with a recruitment drive for the new roles expected to begin soon.
Speaking about the announcement, Mercury CEO, Frank Cullen said:
“I’m delighted today to be announcing our new division at Mercury Security & Facilities Management, which will be creating over 90 jobs across Northern Ireland.
“We have invested more than £500,000 into the new division and are delighted that we continue to contribute to the local economy here in Northern Ireland with further job creation. I’m confident that our new range of services will enable clients to streamline their current outsourcing requirements, allowing them to benefit from an innovative approach and bespoke service which will handle all their Facilities Management needs through a single, cost effective and efficient point of contact.
“Since our formation in 2001, Mercury has continued to grow from strength to strength, but this could not have been achieved without the hard work and support from our loyal staff members and clients. For that reason, I would like to say a special thank you to them for their continued service and support and say that I am certain that together we will continue to place Mercury at the forefront of our industry and as an innovation leader and trusted partner for some to the world’s leading companies.” Added Mr Cullen.
